Amazing food, service, and atmosphere. Honestly great experience. Christine our server was so sweet and attentive. The food was delicious everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. The outside patio had a good vibe with live music. Awesome first experience I’ll definitely be back while my stay in town.

The food is to die for! The owner is walking around making sure you have an exceptional experience! There is music on the dog-friendly back patio. The fish is cooked to perfection. The staff is over-the-top friendly, professional and prompt. We are on vacation here and have eaten two meals here. It’s so good, we didn’t even want to try other restaurants in the area.

My wife and I and our two big dogs ate lunch/dinner here on this rainy day. We sat outside on their covered deck. The waiter loved our dogs as well as the people to our left and in front of us. The food was great. The fried green tomatoes were the best I have ever had, and it came with a bowl of cheese grits. I had chicken tenders and Brenda had a cauliflower flatbread. Both were excellent. I highly recommend this place in High Springs, FL.

The food is good! We especially enjoyed the vibe and the service. During our stay in High Springs we enjoyed 3 separate meals with everything from flatbreads, wraps and burgers. Highly recommend stopping in whether for lunch or dinner you won’t be disappointed.

One of the best restaurants we’ve ever been to. The experience is incredible - some of the best service (shout out to Michelle!) we’ve ever experienced...especially as a gay couple. The owner, Baram, even came up and spoke with us for 20 minutes. The food...it was divine. We got fried green tomatoes, steak, shrimp & grits, and the guava cream cheese blintz...seriously amazing. The lemon drop and blue cheese martinis were also top notch. We will definitely be coming back and bringing our friends!

An unexpected culinary standout in High Springs! From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and attentive—like being welcomed into someone’s home. The atmosphere blends rustic charm with thoughtful sophistication, creating a perfect backdrop for the meal. As someone who loves to cook, I have high standards—and The Great Outdoors absolutely delivered. We sampled the root beer pork chips (a smoky, savory standout), creamy fettuccine Alfredo, Duke’s gouda mac (rich and indulgent), and perfectly balanced balsamic chicken. Every dish was well-executed, beautifully plated, and deeply satisfying. And the drinks? The dragon fruit jalapeno margarita was a flavor bomb—sweet, spicy, and dangerously smooth. This place nails it on all fronts: service, setting, and standout food. Whether you're local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and make a reservation. We’ll be back.

The food was super delicious. We ordered a New York strip and it was incredible. Jesse treated us kindly, his attention was perfect, and he recommended Santa Fe Mud Pie, indescribable. If you come to this place, you have to try that dessert.

The staff are always friendly and the have unique spaces to gather with family and friends. The outdoor patio and bar often have live music and the real fireplace on cold nights is nice. The salads are good and they do have a happy Hour menu in the bar area. They have some signature dishes and I recommend considering the chefs special - especially on the weekends.
